Stock exhaust?

When i bought the car a little over 2 years ago the muffler was already gone and what was left was a little rusty. For the last few weeks i've been having problems with it rusting further and breaking until finally the whole thing broke off all the way to the CAT. Now its so damn loud i can't take it. I visited 3 junkyards and they have no 3rd gen f-bods. Anyone know where i can find a stock exhaust with or without the muffler? I'm looking for a VERY CHEAP setup, in okay condition.

Thanks

You would be better off getting a new dynomax cat-back. You can have the whole thing for $150. You may be able to do it cheaper if call your local exhuast shops. Check out this and this as well.

I wish i could spend the money on it, but i'm trying to save my house so i need all the money i can get. I'm looking for something i can just slap on and quiet the car down so it doesn't attract attention from the cops, until i can put more money into it.

Thanks

Well if your whole cat-back needs to be replaced you are gonna find it hard to just slap something on. If your local yard does not have any stock cat-backs that aren't rotted I would look at the $150 dynomax kit. You may spend that much just replacing the stuff with stock parts.

I would suggest checking out the classifieds forum on this board, and/or posting a request on your regional forum.

I ran a take-off system that I picked up for $20 for over 2 years. Had I known 2-1/2 years ago when I did my mods that you needed a system, I would have "saved" it for you...
