hooker 2055 y-pipe connection
hooker 2055 y-pipe connection
i just installed my hooker 2055 headers and they fit in perfectly after much time and frusteration. however, i proceeded to bolt on the y-pipe and it seems to me like the holes in the headers do not line up with the holes in the y pipe no matter how much i rotate the oval thingy that has the holes for the y pipe.
i am 100% positively sure that the headers are on correctly, everything is snug up there and looks like it is lined up correctly
has anyone else had this problem? do i have a bad y-pipe? is there any way to modify the y pipe holes to fit to the header holes?
any help would be appreciated i am trying to get this project done thanks guys

Don't loosen the headers. Your having trouble getting the holes to line up so the screws catch right?
If so, I had the same problem. I am not going to be much help though, because I just kept trying and I got mine to work. Try having someone hold the y pipe in slightly different positions while you try.

thanks for the replies
i finally got it to fit after a lot more time and frusteration
i didnt end up loosening the headers, i just tilted the y-pipe at crazy angles until i somehow got the screws in and then tilted it back
love the headers too
