Flowtech headers
I Was tight on money and looking for headers and i came upon these headers and they were cheap... does anyone have an expierence with them or can tell me if they are worth a ****?
thay have 1 1/2 tubing... and a 2 1/2" outlet... they are the long style... i dont really like shorties...
i plan on trying to run a 3" pipe back to my Flowmaster....
The motor they will be mounted on for now will be a 305.. the car is an 84 Z28

From what I remember that sticky at the top of the page says Flowtechs suck. You get what you pay for. Its better to save a little longer and get a good product so you don't buy a cheap piece of junk and then have to buy the good one to replace it.

I have the shorties and they suck. They wouldn't be so bad if the flange was not warped, the collectors would seal, and the y-pipe wasn't pure trash. The build, coating, and fit and finish of them are really solid though for the price. I would save up for better ones. By the time you fab up a y-pipe for the long tube version you could have a better complete bolt on shorty kit.

they suck plain and simple do not get them you will end up happier.
I have the shorty's and if you don't mind changing them every 2-3 years there not bad. You can buy three pair of them for the cost of the others. I road race my car and run the headers open all the time and pull the motor at least once a year so I don't have any problems using them. If it was a daily driver I'd spend the money on a nice set of the coated ones though

i made the mistake in buying them and they are pieces of crap. the flanges arent straight and the collectors are poorly merged.
