Exhaust ?????????
What headers will fit my car? I have an 89 tpi 305. My current exhaust is set up with factory headers, 3inch pipe after that, with 3 inch dual high flow cats, and a single high flow one in dual tip out muffler. Any help would be great. Should I use shorty headers or long tubes. I'm just not to sure.

Anyways how much you wanna spend? they can range from around 200 to 600 clams depending where you get em. I'm gonna guess you don't want to spend alot.

He's right, you are pretty new here, so we aren't gonna give you a hard time, but thats prolly why no one has answered yet, because TGO's "old farts" get kinda tired of answering this question, not because we are all stuck-up rich folk

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I spent about 2 hours doing searches and I got nothing, so out of frustration I posted this. I've looked in magazines and various web sites and can't find any thing. I have calle manufactures of headers and most can't find an application for my car. So short of having custom headers built I was hoping to find an answer.
, but there is still hope

I have a 1990 GTA with dual cats. If you have "factory" headers and 3" pipes, someone has already done the work for you. These cars did not come with factory headers.
Now, if you have factory cast iron manifolds, smaller pipes and cat back, and dual cats, you are where I am at.
First decision seems to be, do you keep the dual cats (more exspensive, but might be required for SMOG testing), or do you go with the cheaper single exhaust.
Hedman seems to be the choice for dual headers, Hooker 2055's for single. I've heard good and bad stuff about Hedman products, but the Hooker 2055's seem to have a happy following.

Sorry
Sorry I have the factory cast iron manifold, but after that it's all 3 inch with dual high flow cats. So would a shorty style bolt up better than a set of full headers? What are the down falls of shorty's

Since our cars already have issues with high RPM choking, shorties seem to work.
Also, if you haven't looked under your hood, space is another big reason people go for shorties.
It sounds like someone did 1/2 the work on your car, cats and cat-back already done. Since you already have a good dual cat system, the headers you would probably want are Hedmans. I forget the part number, it might be 64891. You'll want to have any header coated to make it last unless you like replacing these every so often. Improves performance and cooling too.

coating
coating is a good idea... it looks cool and extends the life of the headers, however if your trying to get a really inexpensive set of headers you could probably pass on the coating
they'd hold up atleast a good 8-10 years. it would take a while for that stuff to rust through.
depends if you got the $ or not, but your choice
