How to remove oxygen sensor in TPI
On a 91 350. Cant really fit a wrench down in there. Any ideas from those who have done it before?

O2 sensor sockets are available so you can get the pigtail out of the way of the wrench.
I've done them with boxed end wrenches before. Kinda prefer the O2 sensor socket.

Thanks
I noticed though that the wire is thin enough to where you can just kind of bend it out of the way when putting the socket on it.
Now I just need about a 12 inch extension.

You should be able to just get it under the car with an open eneded wrench. Getting it from up top is much harder. I would not squeeze the wire into a socket unless you are not re-using the 02. As Five7 said you can unplug the wire and feed it through the closed end of the wrench to avoid damaging it.

Thanks again
I dont plan to reuse it. No idea if it is bad or not, but its never been replaced so it probably needs to go by now. Ill pick up an O2 socket when I go get a new sensor.

Running the car for a minute to heat up the exhaust will help a whole lot in removal. Make sure to wear gloves so that you don't burn your hands, though. I also prefer an open end wrench for removing it, but I have the socket and use that to install it.

Trying to get the EGR valve out now.
Do GM engineers just not consult with other mechanics when designing their motors? They must feel no empathy for anyone but themselves. Id love to see an engineer try to take an intake apart with some simple hand tools.
Looking at the archives someone said some PB blaster and crows foot to get the EGR rear bolt out. Hope thats all it takes. Dont want to take the rails off. Guess Im off to the store to buy some F-ing "crows feet".
