My muffler had fallen off a while ago so instead of driving around sounding monster loud with no backpressure, i decided to buy a stock muffler from napa. Along with the muffler i bought a new pipe that goes from the CAT to the back. Me and my dad tried to install it ourselves but we couldnt get the rear end to drop low enough. We couldnt get it to slip through.

I took it to a local Shop and the guy put it on a lift and we went under the car and he couldnt do it, but he took a jackstand and put it under the car. He couldnt get it through until taking off these plates. Now that i have this muffler on, i would like to get a performance one. Will i have to take it to the guy or did he just solve the problem of taking off the plates.

Did he weld the muffler to the i - pipe (over the axle pipe) or did he just use clamps? If clamps try it yourself with a performance muffler. Say the flow 80/40?

nahh, we just used clamps but it all fit together because the pipes were made to fit. I just wanted to know what 80/40 was too, thanks
