Ok, i did a search and didnt really find a definite answer. im going to end up putting a borla catback on my 92. problem is the thirdgen tips look like ***. my question is, other than the hangers will a 4th gen setup bolt up (read: is the over axle pipe the same as on a 3rd gen). the i-pipe shouldnt be a concern because it will be connected to a mufflex y-pipe with a 4" to 3" reducer(hooker long tubes). ill be ordering the 93-95 single cat system. i just dont want to do too much hacking for $600!

i put a 4 th gen borla cat back kit on my 3rd gen and it was good but could never get the tips to line up the exact way i wanted. never could figure out if it was the kit or just me

The exhaust on the 4th gen is offset slightly, thats probably why they didnt line up.

I just put a 4th Gen Borla catback on my 85 Trans Am. I bought the muffler/tailpipe hangers from a 2002 fbody, it fit perfectly and the tail pipes lined up.
