headers and spark plug clearance

well, been puttin' around with my engine putting all the nickel-dime stuff on and discovered that the #3, #5, #4, and #6 plugs can't get a spark plug socket on them cuz of the header tubes in the way, so is there a "shorty" socket sold somewhere, or do i need to go with a different type plug now? if so, what kind for a 350 TPI? thanksl...

You can make your own or buy one off of ebay for like 8 bucks. I chose the latter since I was lazy. Works wonders.

just get a spark plug socket (make sure its the one you can put a wrench on the end of it) and chop the end off with a cutoff wheel or something similar, and make sure you leave about 1/2" of the socket on to grab the plugs edges

I used a "NON" spark plug socket so the end of the plug would go through hole in the socket meant for the ratchet.

....the socket was completely round on the outside, so I hit it with the grinder and put two flat edges on it.
