the kit is for all 4th gens 93-02. it will fit with the use of the 4th gen hangers and a custom adapter to adapt the intermediate pipe to the thirdgen catalytic converter.

A quick search will answer all your questions....

...but SLP Iroc-Z is correct. I had the LM on my Iroc for a while, bit decided with my other mods it was just tooooo loud.

Assuming you have an exhaust shop do the work, it's very easy. The fourth gen hangers will line up properly with the 3rdgen frame, but not where the rubber grommets are. The shop welded up some new gommets, and the hangers worked fine. You will also need a piece of pipe between the overaxle bend and the cat.

This exhaust is alot loud and little tone. Be prepared ahead of time for any unwanted attention.

I couldn't agree more. If the Z28 was my daily driver I'd be looking for a new exhaust or a way to quiet it down. I've been pulled over and verbally warned 3 times already I won't get lucky for ever.

At the track and on the back roads of the Poconos PA I like it though.

no cat will also help it with sound and maybe a little more power, a girl i know, knows a kid with an iroc and he was telling me about his exhaust system and he mentioned not having a cat. her response was "OH MY ***, YOU HAVE A CAT IN YOUR CAR", i thought it was pretty funny so i decided to share my story.

you could definately run a cat and maybe even a small bullet muffler to quiet it down just a tad.

dynomax bullet in the location of the SLP "muffler" LOL, is popular and is called the dynomouth. still loud but toned a bit different

also borlamouth, where the SLP "muffler" is replaced with a borla styled muffler. also a bit loud but more quiet than loudmouth

but there is no point in doing that cuz why buy the kit and then chop off the slp part and put in another muffler? LOL

no point in SLP for our cars. you can custom make the kit for alot less. your paying for practically straight piping. LOL just my opinion. seems to be not worth it. just get $50 bullet and weld in the place of stock muffler. el cheapo exhaust. LOL need bigger pipes then get it custom fabbed. should be cheaper than catbacks. I wish i would have done that.

I bought the LM just so I could say I had an actual LM on a thirdgen. Yeah, maybe I'm dumbass. Anyhow, I got most of my money back.

....Oh and I have a cat too. Still was toooooo loud.

Isn't the Dynomax Bullet just a glasspack?? its a straight through muffler with perforated sides and a ceramic packing material... Wouldn't you just get the same sound as a Glasspack?? I'm looking for a new muffler to put in place of my flowmaster 80 cause its to quiet with the gutted cat in place causin all that turbulence but I have to have it if I want a sticker lol. Anyways does any1 have a sound clip or anything?? thanks

Sound/movie clips from a few weeks ago...

Here is one at Etown from inside the car, the footage was way too dark I tried to lighten it but at least you can hear the exhaust. SLP Loud Mouth

One from Atco, this is from the stands. Loud Mouth Outside

One more for good measure Me vs SRT-4

if you want loud.. do what i did.. cut off my damn muffler lol

it's free and easy. downside is it's illegal if a cop looks. But you could always cut open a regular mufler and just straight pipe it.. hmmmm :lala:
