Need Help

I'm looking for a good exhaust kit to put on my car. Something louder (A decent amount louder) Than the stock exhaust system that is on there now. Can anyone help me out? I would appreciate it if someone could give me a site.

Little more help

http://store.summitracing.com/

part numbers:
WLK-17429
WLK-17495
WLK-17493
WLK-17494

Out of these. Which would you guys recommend.

And Also do you think they will be easy to install. I've heard many horror stories about installing exhaust systems on F-bodies.

So could you tell me which is the best bang for my buck and which would be the easiest install.

I would rather get the best and have it professionally installed than get a piece of junk kit and it be easy for me to install So thanks again and I hope you guys can help me
I'm love by some... Hated by others... but what the hell... They all know who I am!

both those kits are 2 1/2" pipes. you would want to get a 3" catback. i reccomend the flowmaster american thunder catback, its a 3" mandrel bent into a single in dual out muffler, i have it, and its great. i dont know the part number because i dont know what vehicle you have, you should post it in your profile.

Here's my specs

I'm not a big car buff but I have a 1986 Trans Am. the exhaust system is completely stock.

It is a 305 4bbl. If there is anything else you need to know just let me know. I'm looking for something to increase volume considerably.

I looked at the american thunder but I also didn't know which part number to look for because some of them said they were for 93's and 94's.

Also Some of the mufflers only had one place for a pipe to go out. My car has two pipes coming out of the back.

IIRC you have the 2 1/2" cat, so i would recommend headers over or before you got an exhaust system because you are only making 160hp or so, but thats just my opinion. if you dont want to do the headers over the exhaust here is the part number you would want: FLO-17152

That muffler seems to have only a place for one pipe to go in and one to come out. but my car has two pipes coming out the back. I'm not trying to seem a bother just trying to learn somethin'.

These headers?

These header's say that they are for a 2.5" exhaust system. But I still have the question about the pipes. I do like the two pipes. My other question would be what is Ball Flange and 3 bolt flange etc. ?
I know I must sound like an idiot but could you please be patient

shorty headers would be better for your application, long tube headers would just be over kill since you are running a stock 305

Thanks

Thanks alot man. I'm going sometime soon to a local exhaust place that I've heard good stuff about from a buddy of mine.
They did the work on his maverick and a few other cars and did great work. I'm gonna go in and get a price on what I will need installed and all.

Thanks again and I'll post and let you know how it turns out.

Ok this is the deal. I am getting the Cat. cut off. Then I am getting 2.5" pipe ran from the motor back to a 2 chamber flowmaster muffler. From there I'm getting two 2.5" tail pipes with 2.5" chrome tips.
All this for $300 Sound good?

if you are going to pay that much, you might as well buy the 3" mandrel bent catback from summit part number FLO-17151 for $240. and tips cost about $20 bucks a piece. and about a half hour install for $35. if the shop you are taking this to does mandrel bent tubing, then try to make a deal with them for the same price with 3" tubing. but if they dont do mandrel bent tubing, buy the 3" catback from summit.
