Choosing an Ultra Flo

Ello guys..been doin some research on this, and I've developed some questions. I just finished putting the Hooker 2055s on my car today. (driving home with open headers is kinda fun, but I decided easily that its not for me)
I'm buying an Ultra Flo muffler for the car. Looks like a great muffler and I'm already impressed with its lower cousin the Super Turbo that I've had on my car for a while now. My dillema is this: The car is single exhaust, and as such, the muffler is going to have a 3" inlet. I was, at first, leaning toward the offset 3" in/dual 2.5" out but I've recently been reading around through Trax's posts about his single 3". Does a dual outlet outflow a single outlet on any kind of muffler? If the duals are better, what is the best outlet size to look for, and where would I go about finding the tail pipes for the size?
If I don't get a reply tonight here I'm probably going to go with the dual, but I was just looking for some better info.

Edit: Oh, and this system is for a 383 that is to go into the car in a few months here, so although its gonna be on the 305, the car is being tweaked with the 383 in mind as of now.

I just installed a Flowmaster American Thunder system behind my new Hooker 2055's in my '88 IROC - this is a 3" in and dual 3" out (not 2.5") setup with long chrome tips (12-15"). It looks great, sounds awesome, and was a very clean install.

single in/out will flow better than a crossflow style muffler
