I was wondering how much of a restriction the y pipe would cause on a 350? would I gain power with cutting off the 2.5 inch pipeafter the y and welding 3 inch pipe on? If so would it be noticable increase, how much power would it possibe gain? I tried the search but couldn't really find an answer. It will be hooked up to a hooker 3 inch catback with no cat.

If you look here, you'll see how anesthes modded his to 3". I would do that with a 350. A single 2.5" on a 350 would keep me up at night wondering, as you are. Their ypipe is set up to be modded fairly easily.
