Headman FL's and T5's...

I read in another post about the 68460 headers and the clearance problems with the T5 slave cylinder.

Can anybody that has done the modification to make it fit post any pics? Of possibly the finished product after they bent it downwards.

I'd really appreciate it.

Dave

Yeah...it fit like a glove. Either way it will be alittle tight in that area....but that will give the needed clearance.

Hey thats my header!! Ya like 12sec said it fit great. Hung down below the slave cylinder with about a 1/16" between the slave cylinder and top of the header. You can do some measuring and figure out where it will hang. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Do you have to wrap the collector up in exhaust wrap to prevent from heating the hydraulics up?
Is anybody running this setup. Chime in on what you've done to prevent this.

Mine were coated so I really wasn't worried about it. But I suppose wrapping it would work flawlessly.

How about ground clearance? How badly is it compromised with the 68460's?

this is an auto car, but you get the idea:

the collector of the header is a good 1" or more higher than that portion of the exhaust, that is the x-tensions that you have to use to clear the floor board.

The bottom of the collector actually has more clearance then that doesnt it so if you made a cross member with clearance for the exhaust you would have even more room.
