Long tube headers w/o pulling engine?

Are there any long tube headers out there that are easy to install without pulling the engine part way out. I here they can do a pain to install. Do the long tubes give you much better horsepower or sound better than shorties?

i'll let you know in a couple hours

i'm guessing i'm just gonna have to unbolt the mounts and jack the engine up one side at a time, my LT's look like they will fit with just an inch more of clearance. they hit the bellhousing right now...

maybe i'll snap pics

i had my hooker long tubes in in about 2 hours puttin them in last yr, and then a few weeks ago i had them and the entire exuast system off in about 2 hours. so it only took about 45min to an hour to take them out. i put them in and took them out thru the bottem. didnt have to jack up the motor. the only thin i think ill do if i ever put longtubes on another 3rd gen is make sure to take the oil filter off. little ibt of a pain on the driver side with the oil filter on.

I looked on jges for those headers and found some for 139.99 and the picture is of long tube headers but when i click on more info it says they are shorties and something about modifying the A/C bracket? Are these the ones you were talking about and what modification of the A/C bracket is required?
