2.5" section restrictive?
okay heres the scenario; mild 305 (intake, cam, headers) with hedman shorty headers with a hedman 2.5" y-pipe, after the y-pipe it turns into a 3" exhaust with a moroso spiral flow muffler
to get a picture, here is the y-pipe:

will the short (1 and a half feet or so) of 2.5" before it turns into 3" restrict my exhaust flow enough that it will hurt the power im putting out?

I have that Y-pipe. If you wanna make it 3", cut it off right in the center of the Y-collector part, and have a shop weld some 3" pipe onto it.

If you cut it right in the center of the collector, its a perfect match for a 3" pipe.

It will be fine with a mild 305. The stock system is 2.25", crimp bends, so 2.5" mandrel bends can only be better.
How are you going to plumb the fog lights into the exhaust?

lol the lights in that pic are H4 conversions, i already have them in, pretty good lights from what ive seen so far
well i just put the exhaust in a few minutes ago and im letting the battery charge up a bit before i try starting it again. lucky the hedman y-pipe came with a 2.5" to 3" collector so i can run my 3" moroso spiral flow, i am really happy about that. THANK YOU HEDMAN!!!
