Deepest sounding muffler

I am tired of all these adjectives that people are using to describe mufflers. I have searched far and wide for the deepest soundest mufflers, but no one has told me what I want to hear so far.

DEEPEST SOUNDING!

That's what i want.

I don't want a muffler that is quiet, i don't want one that is raspy, i don't want one that gurgles, i just want a powerful, DEEP rumble coming from my tailpipes. By the way, what part does exhaust pipe play? Does a bigger pipe mean it will be deeper? or just louder.

Thanks for any potential help. I really need an answer, cuz new mufflers are going on this weekend. Thanks.

Man, you are going to get alot of opinions on this ?.
Almost everyone on here will stand by what they have on there car, but will it be right for you???

Maybe, someone on here has sound clips of different mufflers. That way you can make the decision of what sounds good to your ears.

Ya, i was thinking about the sound files. Those would be awesome to hear if anyone had any, cuz then, as you said, i could judge the sound myself.

So if anyone has sound files for me, that'd be great. Opinions are good also.

Thanks.

My vote goes for Flowmaster Super 40. I have dual super 40's and its one of the deepest I've ever heard.

My vote goes to a bigger engine with a better cam.

Bigger cam, bigger pipes, headers, and BIG single outlet tips (like 3" or 3.5" boom tubes) pointed at an angle downward will give you the deepest sound.

flowmaster has some of the deepest sounding mufflers IMO...theres alot of alternatives, but I think 40 series have the bassiest sound to them...also you said your gonna run 4th gen tips? as in the skinny square ones? your not gonna get much bass or deepness out of those...little exhaust tips tend to make exhaust more hi pitched....some big 3.5 or 4" slash tips will give you more deepness...also the more pipe you have after the muffler makes an exhaust system louder...my vote goes for the 40 series too....

There's some sound clips of the Super 40's on Flowmaster's website.

Those sound clips on flowmaster site suck. Well to tell you the truth I just pulled the engine out of the car with the super 40's. I've got the engine in my Iroc now with straight headers(hooker super comp LT). I should have the dual super 40 setup on within a month and then I could get a soundclip.
