I'm going to run true duals
I did a search but still have some Qs. I want to run true duals and I'm researching H and X pipes. My questions are regarding:
1. I run a 305, it'll be slightly modified and I doubt I'll ever get around to supercharging. What size pipes should I be running? I have 2.5" on there and I think that should be fine if I go dual.
2. Where do I mount the divers side of the exhaust pipes. Run them parallel with the stock I pipe or run it opposite side of the car.
3. With true duals and a crossover pipe, am I going to have problems working on the car? I don't ever plan on working on my tranny or changing the driveshaft again, but I may replace rear gears.
Please guide me!

I ran my duals the same route as the factory. Passenger Side
From the cats back to the rear, the pipes are about 6-8 inches wide. One pipe is in the factory location and the other is very close to being parallel with the driveshaft. I went with the X-Pipe, which is in between the Cats and the Rear. I also had Header Flanges added to the pipes right before the Rear End. That way, I can drop the whole center Pipe section from the Headers to the Rear, If needed. I chose Flowmaster Hush Power II's because they will fit very easily beside the Cuby Hole under the Hatch. Trust me, I wanted some louder (bigger) Mufflers, but didn't want to hack-up the Cuby Hole to make them fit.
With the way I had the pipes ran, I can still take the driveshaft out without dropping the pipes.
2.5 pipes will be fine

I doubt the routing of the pipe makes a large difference (besides an extra bend or two and some length). But definitely do a search, the performance aspect has been covered quite a bit.

that's mine.. 2.25" TD's with an H. I haven't had to drop the DS but it looks like it wouldn't be a problem.
if you use shorty headers it's possible to run them through the stock location like previously stated... and that might save you some ground clearance.
i haven't hit anything with mine yet.. put about 200 miles on it since the new pipes all city driving.
