Added a Flowmaster 80 with a 3" catback to the 305 last week.

Not a real great recording but all the nerds at work driving hybrids were impressed. Wish I had ditched the stock muffler a lot sooner.

that sounds very nice. i got a hooker catback and im not impressed with it, sounds like a motorboat to me! maybe ill put a flowmaster in place of it

 

I'm not sure how to put this. Even with the new Flowmaster (would have preferred a Borla to be honest) and despite my glee with the new sound, I've heard a lot better exhaust systems. Every day I hear pick up trucks or other cars (sometimes imported ones) that have some seriously righteous sounding exhaust.

Don't get me wrong but I bet if I put my microphone next to a Volvo tail pipe it would sound good. Maybe I'll try that (wife has an S70). The Flowmaster merely put my car where it should be in the sound spectrum.

Does that make sense?

hey, thats not too bad, nice deep tone.....what type of engine is in that? Im glad u posted a sound clip of an LO3 because i might be getting an LO9 (91, Z28, smaller cam, auto) this weekend....did u install it yourself? It should sound the same right?

 

The last clip is a Volvo S70 with 5 cylinders, 165 HP, no torque. I don't think it sounds nearly as good as the L03 with the Flowmaster 80. I ordered the Flowmaster and had a guy I know down the street install it.

I need to get around to taking a clip of my 3" Flowmaster system on the L03 in my Camaro. Mine sounds really good, I get compliments on it all the time. Sounds good at idle, and even better at 4,000 RPM! Flowmaster still rules in my book.
