Approx. Co$t to fab y-pipe for LT's?
I'm looking at getting LT's for my T/A but I would like to know the approximate price to fab up a Y-pipe (or whatever it will be called) to the rest of the exhaust.
How much did you guys pay to have it done? $100? $200?

No one has a price that a shop charged them to make a Y-pipe for LT's? Better question, everyone just ran open LT's, or even better question, no one has purchased LT's for a 3rdgen before?
C'mon guys, I've searched, but the topics are for LT's only, not y-pipe fab.

I've got hedman long tubes on my firebird.....
Shop charged me $200 to make/install the y-pipe....
Wasnt mandrel bent, (compression bent instead) but i was in a pinch so i didnt really do much shopping around. Ground clearance is good too.....havnt driven the car much, but i live in and frequently go through neighborhoods that have miserable roads and stuff, havnt scraped yet.....
(Crappy pic but the best i got)

Maybe so, but sidepipes look out of place on thirdgens. Only on old 60's Novas, Chevelles, and other old chevys and Ford Falcons do they look good. Just my opinion.

Hey BigWhiteGTP, are you still keeping that think streetlegal? Or I should say, emissions friendly? Now that is something that I would like to see with LT's.

if you want a y pipe go to this web site http://www.mufflex-performance.com/home.html they have all the y pipes and cat back systems. i am planning on gettng the y pipe and 4 inch cat back system. the part number for the y pipe is tpi-y you can get them with the o2 sensors or non o2 sensors. they told me that they have a customer car that runs 9.40 with this system so horse power shold be effected. this kit that they told me to buy was part # 82402c. one of my friends has this system and it sounds mean as hell
