Borla exhaust installed

Well, I bit the bullet and got rid of my blowmaster catback for a borla and all I can say is wow. The sound of this thing is amazing. I will never put another flow on anything I own. Anyone looking to get this catback, though it is expensive, as soon as you hear it, you'll love it. With the wide open plate nothing else out there can match it for sound. It's loud, but it has a little bit of that rumble, sweet. With the block off plate it's almost stock quiet.

I have the Borla as well. It fits like crap. But the sound is Awesome.
I always gun on the road before I get to work and I have gotten quite a few compliments. I have a 305 tpi and some people thought it sounded like a big block.

I have SLP headers and Cat back with a borla muff.

If i wanted to just switch out the mufflers does Borla make a muffler that would fit up right in place of the Flowmaster 80

It should fit. But Borla's aren't that loud of a muffler.
Maganaflows are louder than those. Spintechs sound like they'd be around flowmaster territory, and then there's always the Bullet mufflers.

Personally having had a Flowmaster, and a buddy on this board having everything Flow, Borla and now a magna flow, I know have a Dynomax UltraFlow, and can honestly say nothing compares to the sound of the Ultraflow, nothing.

they make a pro xs series muffler but I don't think it will be louder than the flowmaster. my spintech will be here next week. If you can wait I will let you know. I had the 80 series on my 88 so I know what that is like.

the borla kit is not really louder than the flowmaster. It just sounds better IMO. I had both on my 88. the flowmaster kit fit better though. Flowmaster had more drone and low rpm sound but the borla really shined when it was just pinned. everbody though the car sounded great. not a crossflow muffler though. I just ditched a 50 series flow off this car and put the magnaflow catback on. way to quite for my taste.
