Flowmaster American Thunders....How are they?

I have narrowed it down to this, American Thunder Flowmaster or Magnaflow Catback exhaust....

American Thunders are 335 dollars plus shipping, and the magnaflow is about 360 dollars plus shipping...

Both exhaust systems will have 3 inch openings all around, except the Magnaflow will have 3.5 inch tail tips (which really isnt a plus fo rme to pay up the extra 60 dollars for a .5 inch increase)

Alot of people tell me Magnaflow kicks major *** and I do believe it I love the way they sound, but the American Thunders are cheaper and they are almost the same mufflers, which one would be the best?

BTW I have an LO3 TBI 91 Camaro RS

As said before, it is not going to matter. Pick which one you think sounds the best.

I am not gonna stop at the cat back, I'll be getting some of the edelbrock headers on my car a couple of months after I get the cat back....

I think I'll go with Flowmaster and finish....does anyone know what series muffler the American Thunders come equipped with?

I am thinking 80 series

yes its 80 series..you have a 305 TBI, you do not have to worry about flow....even tho flowmaster has the most restriction out of all the systems out, you will never max out a american thunder system with that 305 anyways..

if I had a 305, i'd definately go with the american thunder system...awesome sound...

Are you sure you want the Edelbrock headers? You might want to do a search before you decide.

SLP 3005C headers (1.75" primaries) and 3" Y-Pipe (included)
SLP Header install kit
SLP Catalyst Adapter
Catco 3" OEM style high flow cat
3" Catback System of your choice

Roughly $1200... but the best you can get that is still bolt-on.

I reccomend Hooker 3" Cat-Back... low db at idle and cruising, screams when you stomp on it.

meh, i've heard the edelbrock catback on two cars.. sounds ok, but the flow #'s i've seen suck for them.. I'd go with hooker (little biased.. hehe) but the magnaflow sounds good too.
