Quietest 3" Catback on the market?

Anybody know what the quietest 3" Catback on the market is?

I'm going to install 1.75" primary headers with 3" collectors to a 3" Y-Pipe, and put a cutout before the 3" cat.

I want to keep the car as quiet as possible when it's on the street... I don't like to attract attention.

Thanks,
-Jim

Dynomax is the quietest exhaust on the market you can buy.But i think you have to piece the 3-inch one together though.

I like my SLP exhaust. With SLP Tri-Y headers, it's nice and quiet with a mellow rumble at idle and cruising around town. When you really get on it is when it screams loud with a distinct grumbling tone. Very nice and different from the Blowmaster exhaust I used to have.

Take it you do not have the 305 anymore or you will lose a ton of low end torq with 1.75 primaries, really need a super high reving 350 or some kinda stroker for that size primaries.

I had the dynomax cheapo catback on my v6...but it was only 2.5"

I guess it doesnt matter because I'm using the cutout when I want serious power anyway.

Thanks fo rthe help.

I disagree. I put the SLP 1 3/4" headers on my otherwise stock 305 (well, SLP cat-back previously installed), and I gained power everywhere. Didn't lose anything, and I was able to pull to 5500RPMs. Not saying it made a ton of power up there, but a lot more than stock. I bought them because I got a killer deal on them and I anticipated a strong 350 in my car's future (which it now has).

They worked even better when I also later swapped heads and intake and put a cam in.

Absolutely loved them on my 305, and love them even more on my 350. Sounds amazing with my cat-less 3" Hooker Aerochamber cat-back...soon to have LT1 tips

I'm using an SLP dual-dual muffler (from a 4th gen car with optional SLP exhaust) and it's both very quiet and also free flowing. The 4th gen guys only replace it if they want something louder.

The downside: it's quite possibly the heaviest muffler out there.
