Probly a no no

I was thinking about putting hooker 2210 on my car but I have a 6 speed swap with the Spohn crossmember. I also have the Spohn subframe conetors and was wondering if it would hurt the car too much if I cut in to the unibody rail next to the trans and then rebrace the area so I can run the exhaust around the crossmember. Has any one done some thing like this or will it just plain mess the car up?

It was done a few years ago. A search might turn up pics.
