What to do next?
Ok, I'm at 140,000 miles. Things are wearing down a little bit. I have about $2000 to spend. I would like to keep this as cheap as possible though. I have a huge list of mostly repairs I need, but what is more important/ most I can get done for the money.
1. Rust repair
2. Paint (Probly the cheap Macco paint) It will look better than what I have now. A lot less key lines.
3. Replace windshiled trim.
4. New Cat-Back
5. Headers
6. Engine rebuild
7. Maybe some new ignition
8. Open element
9. Lower temp thermo (I have no idea what I have now, but it sits close to 220) 180* will work good I think.
Hopefuly I can get most of these done for the money. I'm thinking everything but the engine rebuild is within grasps. How much does the average rebuild cost? It has finaly started making a puff upon startup. But the car just feels a little slow. It's probly just the 305 TBI.

Not enough money, so many things to do.

So basicly you are saying that I should get the ignition, open element, thermo, and do the minor rust repair/windshield trim, and paint. I also have some graduation money coming, so I could get the headers and cat-back out of that. The engine rebuild is not the main proirity on my list. I'm guessing it will last me a few more years. I'm going to college in the fall, so it won't be getting drove as often. At least for the first year.
