Which System?
I've been looking at getting a new exhaust system for my 1990 IrocZ. My choices are down to two:
- Flowmaster American Thunder Catback: $336
- Hooker Super Comp Catback With Aerochamber muffler: $270
I've been thinking of going with Hooker since it's a bit cheaper but my question is, is there much of a difference in performance between these two? I know both are reputable companies, but is the Aerochamber muffler more restrictive than the flowmaster series muffler? Or is it just an issue of sound that separates one from the other?

Hooker. Better sound, better flow which down the road will net more HP, and it's cheaper and better looking too. Just my .02

Exactly.
Flowmaster will be louder at idle and part throttle. At WOT, i'd say they are about even. Read the sticky at the top of the page to listen to both. In my opinion, I like the sound of flowmaster much better.

Hey guys, thanks for your input. Sorry I missed the sound clips and stickies at the top...first time in the exhaust forum...just got done all my issues with my engine, lol. I read up a little more and decided to go for the hooker system though and put the rest of the $$ towards a cam =D
