exhaust spitting out fuel??

well when i let my vehicle idle, you can literally see the gas spitting out of the exhaust, i would think this is a pretty bad idea, would this mean the vehicle is running too much and should set the carburetor? i was told turn the carburetor screws on the front to the right until the motor starts to "stumble" and it shold be set to stock, i know someone played with the settings to it should be set.

do you think is my problem for the fuel spitting out of the exhaust, motor running too much?

Are you sure that it's gas? Could it be just some water from condensation? Once the engine warms up the water would go away, gas I would think would catch fire.

A few winters ago, because of all the short in-town trips, condension in my Jeep built up and froze, not allowing the vehicle to start. The ice plug was the size of the tail pipe.

rough its just condensation. Your gonna have to wait for the good weather, take her for a boot, and work out the bugs. You'll find that all that time you spent adjusting things goes down the drain once it gets broken in a bit

yeah that definetly sounds like condensation. Just let your car warm up and it'll go away.

My friend and I thought his TA was doing the same thing, except it did turn out to be condensation.....while the car was outside while we built the motor, some vandal thought it would be funny to put water in his exhaust, thankfully the kid didn't fill the muffler full and we were just freaking out about it thinking it was gas. Anyways, it sure looks like gas, but it isn't, in most cases.....lol.
