Has anyone used these? I was looking at the "open header" model that bolts to the header flange.

My problem is that I have open header now, not enough money for dual exhaust. I will need to drive my car to work/home before I have money for exhaust.

Would these quiet it down enough? Apparently, the company claims the device has a scavenging effect.

What would be the down side to running really quiet open headers on the street/daily driver.

I have a mid-mild/high-mild build motor. Once tuned and running properly, the car will see friday night races.

If nothing more, just as a temporary noise reduction until I can afford exhaust.

That'd be cool, although I would look at the vortex inserts. I think they are a bit more "high tech". I tried to find information on them too and couldn't

I bought the inserts, see my review in the review board or search for 'Car Chemistry exhaust inserts'
