Heddman long tube clearance

Will the $135 Heddman long tubes from jegs or summit fit with a T-5 ? Are there any clearance issues? Thanks in advance guys.

I heard you have to ceramic coat them becuase they're too close to the slave cylinder. That's one of the first reasons I haven't converted to a manual yet.

i've heard they run right into the slave cylinder and you have to modify both the slave cylinder and the header collector, but if your good at fabrication, it can be done without too many issues.

I had an 86 TA with a T5 and hedman LT's. I would not do it again. I was able to get them to work, but the effort is not worth it for a normal street driven car. As already stated, you need to modify the header collector and the transmission bellhousing, but it still leaves the clutch slave cylinder very close to the exhaust.

what is the combo? cause if it's a stock lo3 and not going to get much more than that, then i'd say just go with the hedman shorties and y-pipe. gonna cost ya around $240 from jegs.

if you have BIG plans for the engine combo later on, then i'd say at the bare minimum go with a set of Hooker p/n 2055 shorties and y-pipe. combo is gonna be abut $380 from jegs. but if you want big power then longtubes are going to be a must. you'll need to get the hooker p/n 2210 longtubes and build a y-pipe or go true duals. when i upgrade from my hedman headers, i'll be going with the hooker 2210's with the jethot coating, which are close to $550.

I'd also suggest the Hedman shorties. I've used them before as well, and I liked them. I just ordered another set for my current ride. I've never used the hookers but they have a lot of good reviews as well.

HED-68470 for the non-emission style headers and HED-17470 for the y-pipe.

My camaro came with some pretty nice exhaust, but I could never figure out what kind of headers fit it so I cut it out but I still have th y pipe so I could still use it. The exhaust was pretty big defiatly not stock lokked like it went from 2.5 inch into dual cats and then into 3 inch pipe to the catback. I wish I couls have figued out what headers fit i would have never cut it out.

the one i posted is for the ball and socket style flanges that the 68470's come with now if you were to buy them brand new. the number Kevin posted has a 3 bolt flat flange that bolts up to the older style 68470's which you can find on ebay and stuff sometimes. hedman changed the collector design sometime last year. stupid, i know.
