Exhaust problem- glowing

I just instelled my new exhaust system: dual catco cats and flowmaster catback.

When I go to run the car, the cats and a little piping infront of them glow red hot. Also there is white smoke coming out of the engine area and tailpipes. But on startup, there was more of black smoke comming out of the tailpipes. Also the engine is idlieng at about 30k rpm.

While installing the exhaust system I had to install new gasgets in the runners and exhaust manifolds, so i might not have put everything back together properly? A few weeks ago I took my car in to get it smogged and the guy said the timing was off and adjusted it.

Also there is a little plug behind the plenum/runner area on the driver side that I cant find where to plug it into, im beginning to think that it is important. it is small, by its self and in a little circular shape. Ill try to get a pic in a little bit.

Sounds like your running way to rich.

Black smoke= Rich
Red Exhaust past headers/maifolds= rich

The excess fuel is collecting at the cat and burning, not good for the cat and if your not very lucky you could end up burning your car to the ground!
