Which Headers, Edelbrock TES or Hedman Shorties...
This isn't the same as the rest.
I currently own both the hedman 1-5/8 headers and the edelbrock 1-5/8 tes headers. I bought the hedmans for $10 with a custom y-pipe, flowmaster y-pipe, flowmaster muffler made for our cars, and the pipe from the y-pipe to the muffler(all for the $10).
I almost 2 years ago bought my edelbrock TES headers, i used them for the time being and was nearly 98% satisfied, except their flange design sucks the big one. Those donuts are always loosening out and what not. I also was jyped out of the deal, i bought them used for $100 with the y-pipe, but the guy advertised them as 3" y-pipe, but they were really the 305 y-pipe with the 2-1/2" collector, so i had them modified at a local shop, they cut off the 2-1/2" collector and welded 3" pipe in its place, the guys did such a nice job i can barely tell the difference when they were set next to my buddies actual 3" y-pipe.
Which headers should i use? I've read so many things about both, searching took hours but inconclusive.
If you were in my place, you had both on hand which would you use?

my TES never leaked at the head, and what makes that seem even funnier, is i never used a gasket. From the first day i went bare, mainly becuase i had bought gaskets, but in the event, i forgot to put them on, so i was too lazy to redo the whole job. They wern't leaking there either so what would be my benefit from adding gaskets?
My biggest beef with them was the header to y-pipe flange, the 2 bolt design is great for making them fit easier; the 2 bolt design angles naturally. But those donut gaskets are hard to make stay correctly. Its a fun job! but thye performed great and even on my whimpy old 305 i noticed a huge difference. The borla on the back made even more difference.

You sure get some good deals! I'd just lay them side by side and see which look the most free flowing. I have a pretty new Edel. TES and they are decent, but maybe the Hedman's with the custom pipes are some better?

My guess would be the system pictured will hang down low and cause you ground clearance grief.
Stick with what you've got.
