305, Hooker headers, good cat, hooker catback, too loud?

I got pulled over for speeding Saturday night, I still haven't put the right speedo gears since I changed to 3.42 so I'm never truly sure how fast I'm going, but anyway. He gave me the ticket and then he asked me what kind of exhaust I had on it. He said he wasn't going to say anything about it but that some might(it sounds kind of loud to me).

What I have are the 1 5/8 hooker headers, into a 2.5 inch catco cat, 3 inch hooker catback. Has anybody had someone say something to them with this combo? It is loud, but I hear louder vehicles on the road all of the time, and mine used to be a lot louder when I didn't have a cat at all a few years ago.

No, i think he just wanted to give you a ticket to get his quota. You might have been speedong which he was in right to do, but he mighta just figured a ols third gen wouldnt have much chance out running him so he pulled you over.
Especially since you have a cat you sound level should be fine. Im not all that impressed by hooker equpied cars even w/o cats. Your car prolly sounds good, but he just wanted to be a ****.

Hooker 2055's, CatCo high-flow cat, and Hooker cat-back. Not terribly loud, IMO.

Ive got shorties, no cat, 3" Hooker cat back and it is quite at idle compared to some ive heard. Now it does get loud at WOT but not at cruising speeds.
