Where would be the best place to cut the muffler to avoid replacing the I pipe, and allow a muffler shop to weld a new one on? Mine is siezed up and I need to reconnnect the intermediate pipe at the cat so it doesnt rust to pieces.

Right where it connects to the pipe worked for me..
