are hedmans good headers to use i hear hooker and slp but those get pricey and hedmans are in my range and this package is a nice deal for 340ish.

The two issues that arose from my Hedman header and y pipe install: 1) y-pipe too close to the OE size starter and 2) #1 header pipe too close to the brake line.

You can get a sheild from Jegs, Summit, etc. I didnt have enough room to fit one so I chose to replace the OE starter when it got hot and wouldnt start and installed a mini starter. I've been told, although I cannot attest to it as fact but, another member here suggested that an LT1 starter is compatible, smaller than OE and cheaper then a mini replacement.

I have a set of edelbrock's with the air tubes cut off, and a 40 series flowmaster attached to the y-pipe where the cat is supposed to go. If you are interested in getting these. Let me know.
