89 IROC Headers question

Hi everybody, i recently purchased an 89 IROC with the 305 TPI motor. The previous owner was a mechanic and he has done several modifications including: Edelbrock intake manifold - Edelbrock Double Roller Timing Chain - Comp Cam - Comp Roller Rocker Arms - Comp Pushrods - Crane Hydraulic Roller Lifters – Melling High Volume Oil Pump – Accel Coil, Wires &Plugs – K+N Air Fliters – Flow Master Exhaust (single inlet + single outlet) – B+M Shifter. Rebuilt rear Ratech Bearing kit.
The way I saw it, the only thing it really still needed was a good set of headers, and a true dual exhaust system. I've been looking at headers and I plan to talk to a few mechanics around town to see if anybody can even set my system up the way I want. (dual all the way back, 2 cats, 2 mufflers)
Does anybody have any experience of converting a single exhaust to a true dual? I want to know if theres a certain type of headers i need to get, or anything in particular i need to know before scouring the town for a mechanic who will do this sort of conversion for me. Thanks in advance-
Dustin

Your going to have very bad ground clearance unless you notch the frame

Is there no other way to get two pipes going back besides notching the frame?

Should I just get a wider single pipe back and set it up with the typical fake dual that most camaros have? I just want to get the most performance possible out of this kind of work, so i won't have to upgrade it in the future. I know the dual cats was an option on certain third gens, so i figured it wouldn't be too hard to convert mine.

Oh and does anybody have any suggestions on headers, I was looking at the Edelbrocks on Summit.. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=EDL%2D68722&N=4294908216+4294908198+4294924930+4294923429+4294839039+4294840138+115&autoview=sku
I'm afraid I dont know enough about them to pick out the right ones but i'm trying my hardest to learn.
