ok whats going on i went to put a pipe plug in the threaded hole for the 02 sensor in the exhaust manifold and only a 3/8" will fit but its just a hair too lose to work
what size is this hole ?? what plug do i need

18mm diameter, 1.5mm thread pitch. You can use a 30mm long bolt say...
I didn't know where i'd find an 18mm bolt, I guess I can (we can) use an oil drain pan bolt! What vehicles would have an 18mm bolt for the drain pan?
I want set up the mounting for this while the y-pipe is easy to get to, but not have the O2 sensor in while breaking in the new motor... cool!

wait, I had a few spark plugs on my computer desk, and the 18mm nut i'm going to weld onto my y-pipe at my feet here... The plugs are 14mm thread aren't they? They're way small. Or do you mean plugs for a different vehicle?

not ugly, just REAL hard to thread an M14 thread into an M18 hole...

Motormite part number 65220. Oil plug availible at O'Reilly's and Autozone for about $2.50. I used one of these when I removed an O2 from one of my cars.
