I'm looking for some mufflers for my 84 Z28 with a 355. I want the exhaust to be loud but I dont want to be pulled over by the cops every other street. Which is a good muffler to go with Moroso Spirals or Dynomax Bullets. And sounds clips would help !!

 

i have moroso spiralflows but am swapping to turbo mufflers because my exhaust is too loud to drive on the street and not get pulled over. the spiralflows are quieter than the bullet mufflers but not by much. Either way it'll be a cop magnet.

 

agreed, both mufflers will be loud as hell. id try a chambered tube type muffler or ultraflo round from dynomax. flows good, sound is strong, but not too loud

 

If the cops are picky you will get pulled over with either. I coast everytime I see a cop. I have Hooker 2210's with 3' of pipe off them and Moroso Spirals on the end about 1' from the axle. At idle it sounds great, at WOT it sounds unreal, part throttle sounds ok, but even light throttle cruise is loud in the car and gets old real quick.

 

sounds awesome but veyr very loud, i switched to 2 chamber 50 series flowmasters and it didnt really quiet down much at all.. Heres a clip of the spiral flows tho

ls1's will sound alot different than a l98 or lb9 with the same muffler. ls1's sound incredible with bullets or spiral flows..while lt1's and l98s sound ok

 

That was on my 9 second pump gas carb'd 383 combo, the ls1 is new for this year..
