Headers for N10
okay, i know most feedack on this will say search but i could find the answer i wanted.i want to put headers on my car which has the factory dual cat setup, i dont want to mest with the exhuast, i just want to install headers, what are some bolt up headers that dont require a y-pipe to work with my factory exhuast, i just want a bolt on or even weld on and say be able to put my manifolds back on if wanted (dont want to just paintin a picture of what i want to take out)i am looking for shorties since i am in CA and LT wont pass smog, so i need A.I.R. provisions with mine. what are some suggestions if they make any bolt up shorties for the N10 exhuast?

people keep telling me that i should do that but i want to put in a cutout before the cats and that way it will be free flowing , but everyone keeps saying that a e-cutout isn't that dould for free flowing, and this car is a DD so i want it quiet sometimes and loud other times.

The Y pipe ruins flow. It's pointless to buy headers and not replace the y pipe.
And if you're planning on doing cutouts, you'll need to buy two of them ($$)? This just seems like an extensive operation. Why not just buy the Hooker 2055's that includes the y pipe?
In my opinion, cut outs aren't going to make your car sound "cool". You're right, it'll be loud as hell, but that's about it. Heads and a cam go along ways to making something sounds wicked. A stock 350 TPI with open headers isn't that sweet. Why not spend the money to have good performance all the time, instead of just when you open up the cutouts?
I would recommend the Hooker 2055's and the Hooker Super Competition catback exhaust. Then find yourself a nice highflow cat.

i want to keep dual cats, whether someone thinks its better or worse, and i dont want to spend more that 600 for the exhuast parts.
so whats the best smog legal headers that i can get and keep the rest of my exhuast stick, regardless if it flows crappy or not?

The 2055's are like 380 bucks I think. You should be able to hook up your stock cats up to that right?
