Issues with A/C lines for headers?

I think they are the A/C lines. I just looked today at it to see what I would be up against. I decided to go with the 2055 as everyone is saying for my LG4 T/A. I was showing the car to some guys I work with today and had the hood up. The car has been in storage since last year off site. Now that I got it home I want to learn about it and do stuff to it.

When I looked on the passenger side, there were some silver pipes/lines whatever... right next to the exhaust manifold. I am just wondering if anyone has had issues with the 2055's fitting with these there. I didn't get a good look at the driver's side yet. I'll probably have a shop end up doing it for me anyway, but I don't want to run into problems buying stuff that won't fit.

I installed summit shorty headers myself, and let me tell you, the clearance to the AC is CLOOOOSEEE. It's not really an issue with the AC LINES, but the AC BOX that is jutting off of your blower motor.

You will most likely NOT be able to get that very last bolt in on the passenger side, unless you have really really tiny hands and ALOT of patience. But it can be done. The smog equiptment will need to be moved, but it can definately be done.

Is the smog equipment easily moved? Any other complications with headers on that particular engine I may find out?

BTW, is that Hamilton, Alabama?

Hamilton, NJ actually.

The smog stuff that will need to be moved is the AIR diverter pump (I think thats the name). It's the peice that comes off the back of the smog pump, black box with a snorkel kinda thing coming off. It's easy though. Umm, lets see...I can't remember, I think it's all straight foreward from there.

Like I said, tough fit, but it's doable. If anything else needs to be moved, just move it, but make sure you remember what went were and what connected to what. Take a bunch of pictures before you touch anything for reference, and also, if you disconnect any wires or hoses, mark the ends of the hose and fitting with masking tape and two matching letters, so that you know what to reconnect to where when you are all done. I would also invest in a can of PB blaster, which is a spray that will help loosen up the rust on the stock manifold bolts and help break them free alot easier....you do NOT want to strip out a bolt head on this job. The can has a bright yellow top and a white body, cant really miss it. At your local auto store.

the smog stuff is really easy to remove. it's pretty much all in plain sight, and there aren't many surprises. if you do remove it, you may want to look into a smog pump delete pully.

I think the lines I was referring to are actually part of the smog system. They go into the manifolds. I didn't realize that when I first looked but then yeah I tight fit with the A/C compressor or whatever that is.
PB Blaster.... would not have been able to do the breaks on my daily driver without it very cool stuff!

Thanks for the delete pully advice Z28 boy, michigan doesn't have a hard on for smog tests, however, I plan on moving to florida in a few years and don't know what their laws are like. I'll check into it.

Thanks guys.

EDIT
I have the V belt system, wouldn't I just remove the belt then all of the smog equipment instead of messing with a pulley?
