?about edelbrock tes fitment, and coatings, cermaic and ti tech

First I have a lg4 car, but it now has a 350, the tes system that is on it has the 2.25 collector and y pipe, the system is old and leaking so i just ordered one for a 86 an dup tpi car, it has the 2.5 collectors and the 3 inch y pipe, should I have any fitment issus? what do i do iwith the heat valve on the pass side?

What about the coatings? I got the cermaic ones, Should I wrAP THEM WITH HEADER WRAP LIKE MY CURRENT ONES? i DON'T WANT TO BURN MY PLUG WIRES? (sorry about the caps lock)

should i have gotten the ti tech? I see they coat the y pipe ( the cermaic system does not it looks to be painted) Did I make the right choice ( I am not talking brand wise I mean size lash system. Thanks

Don't know how much difference there would be in the cars but on my 88 the TES was a very tight fit. Nicely made with good looking bends and such, but it just barely fit in several places. I had to make a couple heat shields, one for the brake lines on driver's side and another for the starter. I wouldn't put anything on the ceramic coated parts. I stripped the black paint off the y pipe, sanded it some and painted with high temp aluminum. Holding up well so far after a year now. You'll be well satisfied once you get it all installed.

I don't understand why they do not put the ti tech coating on the ypipe like they do when you buy the ti tech system.

What do I do with the heat riser vavle that is on the pass side exhaust pipe?

Also how far away should the wires be from the pipe?

the ti tech coating comes on the y pipes now.

I have the Edelbrock's on my 89. It is a very good guality system. I did not have any fit issues and only need to make one heat shield. They fit tight no question but they are a quality product.

Darn, should have waited a year for that extra coating. On my L98 there was at least an inch of clearance at all spark plugs. I routed the wires down the back of the engine and under the headers, no heat problems with that. The heat riser is not used on the headers that I know of and it's pretty common to do away with it anyway to get boost in performance, way back to the 1950s even.

That vavle, havs a flaper in side the exhaust, so it close when it is cold and then opens up when it is warm,
where do the hose go that hook up to the vavle?
Do I have to do anything when I take it off? what do i do with the hoses and stuf that hook to it?
Thanks
