Percy Deadsoft Alum Header Gasket?
I was always told the only dumb question is the one not asked, SO. Which direction do you install Percy's deadsoft alum headers gaskets? I mean when you look at the gasket there are two pieces that are spot welded together. One face is planer and the other side has a raised parameter. ??? I'd just rather ask then install and find out later I f***ed up.

i always put the raised portion pointing towards the headers, but i don't think there is a wrong way to install them

I'll second that.
They almost seem worse for seal than regular gaskets to me.
Never had luck with them and have done quite a few header installs in my lifetime.

yep..they are a waste of $30 plus dollars!
Ive had better luck with the solid copper gaskets than percey's aluminum ones on headers. But I do have their aluminum collector gaskets on some longtubes in a 67 pick up that have been leakfree for a couple years.

The Percy gaskets I have havent leaked in 5 years on the truck or 2 on the bird. I did have one rip apart on the truck but when you drop a u joint at 80 and all the bolts vibrate out it's not the gaskets fault.
