New y-pipe and exhaust with SLP headers inside * soundclip *
It started with I wanted a new muffler that was little less sound from...
Then it became a new exhaust complete from the SLP collector, the old pipes where 2.25" the new ones will be 2.5". Will wait with longtubes......
For the first time I will remove my cats to see how much restriction those (had 2) made, it will be on when passing emission offcause.....
All that is left of the old exhaust

New Y-pipe collector is made from a 3.5" pipe and a piece of 2.5" pipe

The new 2.5" pipes from the collector is welded together where it should be attached to the 3.5" Y-pipe.

Y-pipe attached

next part (cat-delete)

new muffler is taking its place

a sharp 3.5" 90* is made to fit the pipes........

.....to be continued

Thats exactly what I am wanting to do with my SLP's. Well have deadbird do for me, he's a fabricatin' fool. Are you leaving the factory SLP collector? I think I am going to have deadbird cut them off and put a ball/flange type collector on it, like what Ford uses and LS1's i think. I would like to see more pics if you have them. Do you think there is enough room for a 3in y pipe? Thanks. I am going to start another thread about that so I don't high jack yours. Looks good!

I reused the slp connectors.
3" can be done but it will require to lower the pipe between the frame and oilpan so the car is going to be lower but I'm sure it can be done.
A friend drives 9.44 with SLP shorties and 2.5" collectors in a full weight camaro.....
Will post more picture..........
