grinding for 2210 longtubes? I got questions

grinding for 2210 longtubes? I got questions
those of you that have had to grind on your K-member and cross member...I have done a search and checked out the sticky....but there is no clear pictures of the grinding area..
can some one post exactly where they grinded on each side...how much they had to take off?
Ive got a 4.5" angle grinder and I want to get things ready for the engine drop in this coming weekend...
oh what type of wheel do I get for the grinder?

I had 2210's in an 82 Camaro and never had to grind anything. Every Camaro/Firebird could be slightly different. I'd test fit first with engine in the car than remove engine and grind the k memebr if necessary

my 2210s hit when i put them in and my engine wouldnt sit down far enough to get the engine mount bolts in. I then installed poly mounts and nothing hits, they fit perfect. Im sure you have put new mounts in, but just a heads up. I would test fit them with the engine in before you do any grinding.

I just installed my 2210's about 2 weeks ago. I did have to grind a small amount on the PS side A-arm mount. I can take some pics. I also had to torch,ball peen a another tube on the PS side (can take pics). I also didn't notice until I already lowered the engine back in that on the DS there is one tube that just barely touches....I didn't do anything to that yet because I don't know if it'll be a problem. All of this with brand new everything!! and I mean EVERYTHING.

yes take pictures if you can...The majority of people that have to grind on anything are ALL grinding the same spot...SO I want to see where that is...I know I needed to grind on the PS and have already done that but HOW MUCH? I will take pictures when I get home....and Im assuming that the same has to be done to the DS? ..same amount? same spot?
and I also have to grind on he cross member......
I just want to take care of this before hand..im droppin in the motor on Saturday...

this is passenger side where Im grinding...is this the same place most people have to grind down? how much more should I do? also is the same same location that I should do in the drivers side?
