originally had headman long tubes with 3" dual exhaust running over tranna cross memeber with turndowns and after burner mufflers. lowered the car with sportlines so i needed more ground clearance.

so i notched the stock subframes to tuck the 3" up against the floor, (dont worry i had already installed my designe thru floor subframes with 2"x2" steel tubing) ran headman S bend extensions off collectorys thur subframe into Xpipe then into 3" force mufflers.... lowest part of the exhaust is the mufflers but i def gained alot of clearance over the old setup not to mention that the sound is CRAZYYYYY!! the Xpipe makes this tone come alive at 2300rpms and above. i like the tone so much better than without the xpipe. i'll try and get a sound clip if anyone wants it. also have alot more of the mufflers etc, but not to many on the car bc my driveway isnt flat but i will take them to show ground clearance if wanted.

do you plan on running tailpipes or are you gonna stop at the mufflers? Where abouts do the mufflers stop underneath the car and what are your plans with hangers? I'm interested 'cause my setup is somewhat similar so far and would like to see a finished product to compare to...

If you could snag some photos from underneath I'd love to see how you tucked-up the system. Thanks, and it looks good so far!

Re: pics of new tru dual 3" mandrel bent exhasut with xpipe

i kno when u look at these ur gona be like this isnt that great, remember this was with lowered with sportlines, and the whole front of the exhaust doenst sit lower than the deep trans pan, towards the rear it gets lower bc the rear mufflers are over 4" thick and thats what pushes it down, if i was to go with bullet mufflers like 3" the entire system would sit even higher. or just remove them completely that black bar is the thru floor subframes that i painted black again, can u believe it works?

3rd pic really shows how the notching worked, second looks kinda bad but your also looking up at it, due to the mufflers i might cut into the floor boards and tuck the mufflers into the floor like 2 inch for a more custom look, i can tell ya that there is no car louder than mine on the street where i live and its a good mellow tone bc of the xpipe

2 questions...

Are you using hedman's x-tensions
and
Could you post a sound clip by chance?

Re: pics of new tru dual 3" mandrel bent exhasut with xpipe

yea they are universal flange, 3" headman xtensions... like an sbend, then turn out from the 3"collectors and then back into the 3" xpipe with the 40 degree bends that the summit xpipe kit supplied then into 3" force mufflers with turndowns. super simple.

yea i want to put a sound clip but i didnt want to do it on the cell phone...anyone kno a better way?
