Now that's not to say it would be a bad mod... if you're considering getting a cam for instance, it doesn't make sense to install one until you've got a better intake, headers and exhaust... and probably some head work. IMO, those three basic mods are the first performance mods you should do... I'd venture a guess that 10-15 Hp can be had with a stock LO3.
These mods are cumulative though, lets say just for example's sake you threw a moderate cam into a stock motor and picked up 30 Hp, then lets say you toss on the intake, headers and exhaust which by themselves would have netted you 15 Hp on the stock motor, but now that there's a more agressive cam, they free up 25 Hp instead.

Does it by any chance say UP TO so and so horsepower? I'm sure on a 350 with headers and a decent high flow cat you'll gain 20hp.
Btw, which one was it, the Ultra Flow?

I'm sure there's more experienced people out there, but I'd guess 15-20 at the flywheel on an otherwise completely stock LB9 with moderate miles.

Which Dynomax system are we talking about here. There are three for 3rd gen F-bodies available from Dynomax. The top of line is the Ultra flo SS with a "straight through" muffler design while the entry level has the super turbo muffler. The Ultra SS system is about $311 while the super turbo system is around $179. I just cut my exhaust out from the cat back so that I could drop my fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. I opted for the super turbo system. I bought it at Summit this weekend. It should flow much better than stock while the Ultra SS will flow even better. It is replacing a Flowmaster system so I'm hoping for at least an equal or better sound with some type of perfromance improvement. 20HP would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

well , it doesnt really say which of the 2 it is....its just a description of a dynomax system in general....but yeah i'm thinking of the super turbo one as well...or just throw in a flowmaster 80 because i want a more powerful sound.

UPDATE: Got my Dynomax Super Turbo cat back installed and bolted in today. Definitely no 20 HP gain and definitely not a better sound than Flowmaster. Kind of disappointing.

Mine has the "Turbo Flow", it's definitely nothing special in terms of sound but it's what was on the car when I bought it.
