Would a single 3 inch 1 chamber be raspy like a bullet or deeper like a 40 series???

Re: 1 chamber flow master????
Are you talking about the flowmaster system with the single 3 inch outlet or the flowmaster system with dual 2.5 outs? I am not sure which system you are refering to.
I am using the American Thunder system with the dual 2.5 inch outlets. It has a very loud very deep rumble to it (with a cam anyway).

Re: 1 chamber flow master????
actually the 1 chamber gives less of a drone than the original 40 series, but more higher rpm sound..i like it..i have one on my dodge charger, i took of the 40's they had more vibration too..

Re: 1 chamber flow master????
actually they are less annoying at lower rpms. close to same sound but way less drone, because the 1 chamber's use 3 baffles and 1 chamber. and the 2chamber has exactly that but 1 baffle

So the 1 chamber is louder but has less drone and more flow?if that is true then why wouldnt more people use them?

I had a pair of them on my BBC in 3 1/2". 10 1/4:1 with 610 lift and and lots of duration. Sounded VERY nice. Your sound may vary depending on where you mount them. I ran mine about 24" behind the headers and out in front of the rear tires.

Re: 1 chamber flow master????
Dont get me wrong it was louder than the 80 series what was on there, but it wasnt as loud as i thought it would be. But at the same time, it would be louder if there were more cubic inches in front of the muffler.

Re: 1 chamber flow master????
no i dont but i may still just make one i have a few friends that have welders i also dont have the best place to work on the car as it is. ill probably just bolt on the extensions and the muflers and break in the cam and all the tuning and a few test runs to seat the rings and when im ready to actually take it out and drive it ill proba;y run it ove to my friends and finish up the exhaust with the H pipe and finish welding up all the pipes. i might not weld the mufflers on probably just clamp so if i wanna swap out mufflers i can
