True dual setup on my car

The camaro I bought already has true duals on it. However i dont like how they ran them. The come off the long tube headers and eventually crossover the rear in the stock location and to two flowmasters out back. it sounds sick but i think there is some hidden horsepower in my exaust. Some of the bends have kinks in them and the pipe to me seems a little small. The motor is a 383 AFR 210cc heads Victor JR intake, holley 750 DP with pro form main body. I wanted to make my own exaust. I Just wanted to come stright off the headers straight back to my existing mufflers and turn out in front of the rear tires. What size pipe do you think i should be running with that motor?? And do you think a H Pipe will be necessary? Will this set up give me good low end and top end power?? Thanks guys

Re: True dual setup on my car

i have the setup u want, headman long tubes, 3" true duals with xpipe and 3" force mufflers and turndowns, its a pain the *** to do but sounds sickkkkk! xpipe does wonders. u could get away with dual 2.5" but 3" would be better since urs seems to be a rever with those 210afr's, xpipes make more power than hpipes the prob with xpipes is clearance issues, not to mention the exhaust tone change with an xpipe. it should give u more all around power and prob give u more upper if u increase pipe size, the xpipe likes to rev but the Hpipe likes lower. i personally think Hpipes are stupid expesically when ppl have them and their like 12" long lol it doesnt do much if u want it to work the Hpipe would have to be 6" or less, hpipes and xpipes just equalize the pressure differeances in the diff sides of the exhaust. u can pick up 30hp and torque on a well built motor with an xpipe.

Re: True dual setup on my car

too bad 2.75" piping wasnt popular.. that would give you decent low-end and decent top-end.. but ya, what 1MeanZ said:

i but i would go 3".. 2.5" would probably choke your AFR 210's.. i have 2.5" true duals but its basically open pipe flow capacity.. my "mufflers" supposedly pull exhaust through the pipe.. works for me.. but i could use more

One more question though, if i ran the long tubes with an x-pipe how about subframe conectors?? Am I not going to be able to use them?
