High flow cats

When I turned on my car today I heard a loud rattling. After inspecting it I noticed it was coming from within the cats. I am pretty sure they are about to go and was just wondering what company makes the best high flow cats for an 89 5.7l formula with dual cats.
Thanks

Random Technology (expensive), Catco, Dynamax, Pypes. Look at Summit. Many choices

Re: High flow cats

How much of a performance gain can you expect with a high-flow cat over one from the factory?

Re: High flow cats

I definitely felt a difference going from the factory cats to Random Technology Cats, but damn they are expensive. At 180.00 each you don't want to keep smoking them out like I did. I had a leaky injector on the left bank and ruined one Random Tech. cat. They replaced it under the warranty but said I needed to fix the problem. I ultimately smoked them out again after I replaced my injectors and weak fuel pump with a Walbro pump and my AFPR was set too high running the engine too rich again. I now have Pypes cats installed. I like them because they are so small only 4" in dia x 7" installed length, price was right too. Check out http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8maccat2.htm at the bottom of the page.
