Single 3" Muffler suggestions
I have a 3" Dynomax intermediate pipe and a 3" Spintech muffler that dumps on the driver side in the stock location. I hate the sound. It's raspy and cheap sounding... not how a 10.5:1 mild cammed 350 should sound. It sounds more like a Buick station wagon with a hole in the muffler.
So... off with the spintech and on with...? I'm thinking about either a Dynomax ultra-flow or a Hooker Aerochamber. This car isn't a daily driver, so I don't mind if it's real loud. The loudness of the spintech is ok, it's just the tone I hate. So, anybody have any experience with the ultra-flow and the aerochamber that can give me come sort of comparison? Which will do a better job of letting the lower frequencies through but will block the higher frequency crap?
Here's a clip of the spintech: http://www.iroczone.com/technical/Exhaust/Spintech3.AVI
In the clip, the car actually sounds really good because my camera didn't capture any of the high frequency hash. Now I need a muffler to do the same thing.

The ultra flow does sound real somooth and clean, but not wimpy. The aero chambers sound ok, if you have a mild cammed 350 either should sound pretty sweet.

Its not exactly apples to apples but click the link in my sig for a clip of a Ultra flo 3 in 3out. this is a LO3 no cat
Sounds pretty good, deep sounding, not like you said a buick with a hole in the mufller.
Im stepping up to a 383 and 3" duals with classic chambered powersticks.
Kevin
Plus if you order thru summit you can get 15 summit bucks back right now when you buya ultra flo muffler

Your website says you're using the 17220. That's the Bullet muffler. I can't imagine that bullet muffler doing any better on removing the high frequency garbage that my spintech doesn't filter. I was thinking more along the lines of this muffler:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
It's a stright-thru design, but with a lot more fiberglass packing than the bullet.

Im not using a bullet muffler, summit has the wrong pic here it is in jegs http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_17268_-1
I didnt want a bullet I figured it would rasp to much.
But to use the muffler i did, I made my catback to accept a center in muffler instead of offset.

I personally would recommend the hooker aerochamber. This muffler has a really low tone but it is louder, you will barely be able to hear the exhuast at a cruise but it gets louder when you romp on it.
