Catco alternative?

On my second Catco converter and it (same as the first) has a loose cat. bed in it already, both developed a NASTY rattle at 3 - 4000 miles. A real chore to get it off without damage and to ship it back to Summit for replacement. Is there another brand/company that makes a high flow affordable converter for the 3 inch exhaust? And does it really make a difference over a stock converter? I'm about to the point of rodding it out, but I sure hate to do that.

Re: Catco alternative?

Summit makes their own converter, as well as magnaflow, dynatech and dynomax. Maybe give one of those a try.

Re: Catco alternative?

Thanks for the info. I have a Dynomax exhaust on the car, pretty satisfied with it too, sure have to take a look at what they have. Hard to believe how lousy the car sounds at a red light with that rattle under there.
