Does This Y-pipe even Fit??

I bought This Y-pipe, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_744775_-1 To match these Headers, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_16730_-1

I know the Inlets on the y-pipe is 2.25" and the header outlet is 3.00" once i got them. However theres these two Reducers that fit the 3'' ball flange and then it reduces to 2.25 and then runs a straight 2.25" for about 2 inches.. However you cannot fit a 2.25 Pipe in a 2.25 hole.. so am i suppose to cut that extra straight part of the reducer off? theres like 6, 2.5" long bolts for the flanges, so I guess those two reducers are for my application???

I Dont know where to go with this...

Re: Does This Y-pipe even Fit??

which Y-pipe did you buy? If you bought the one with the ball flange on the ends that attach to the headers then it will work with no cutting or sizing needed. I bought the same headers and Y-pipe for my car. The Y-Pipe should come in 2 pieces. (not counting the rings/bolts that are used to attach the headers) They make the Y-pipe so it adjustable on the drivers side of the car. I'm really not quite sure what you are asking, maybe elaborate a little more or show some pictures??

the Y-pipe flanges do not fit the 3" Header Flanges, I mean it would leak hardcore... Did you get Two Reducers? Kinda Cone Shaped?

Re: Does This Y-pipe even Fit??

is it a ball type flange on the end of the header? the flange on your Y-pipe should open up to over 3 inches.

Re: Does This Y-pipe even Fit??

Yea thats the problem, The y-pipe Doesnt open up more than 2 3/4, I got a 3'' to 2.50'' reducer and flared one end while rolling the other end.. which actually gave me 2'' between the oil pan and y-pipe, ground clearance is great..
